So, we’re working our way through preparations for the Reign 2E Kickstarter, and it’s time to start showing and telling what Greg Stolze and I have in mind of this new edition. We’ll be previewing some visuals and talking about the project quite a bit in the next week or two, so be sure to keep an eye out for updates.
Two Books Are Better Than One
One of the ideas with the new edition is to unite the Reign 1E core rulebook with all of the supplemental material that Greg has generated since it was first released. The resulting amount of text was SO large—over 400,000 words!—that we’ve decided to split Reign 2E into two books rather than having one absolutely gargantuan tome.
For our very first preview of the new edition of Reign 2E, we’d like to show you the cover to the first book, Reign: Rules. Starting with the amazingly talented Daniel Solis‘ evocative original cover as a starting point, we enlisted the awesome Alyssa McCarthy to render the stylized badass warrior from the original in stunning full color. We’re super happy with the result, and you can check it out below!
